Home Winemaker Showcase Coming May 30

grapestompers will be hosting its 2nd Annual Home Winemaker Showcase on Sunday, May 30, 2010 in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Owner Tom Burgiss says that this event is open to all amateur wine makers and is free to the public. BUT, all wine makers must pre-register before Friday May 28th in order to pour their wines and be judged for the competition. The public is cordially invited to attend and taste the fruits of the vines. The event begins at noon and lasts until 4:00 p.m.

  • CRAFT VENDOR REGISTRATION IS ALSO FULL

Judging of homemade wine will take place in the following five categories:

  • Dry red
  • Dry white
  • Fruit / sweet
  • Port
  • Mead

In addition to the sampling of the home brewers, there will be area craftsmen and artisans selling their wares as well as live music to enhance the whole afternoon. Ribbons and grapestompers.com gift certificates will be given in each of the five categories mentioned above for the wine makers.

Tom is offering a 10% discount for all purchases made at grapestompers on the day of this showcase event. Everyone is invited to join the fun on May 30th tasting delicious homemade wines, shopping, and enjoying live music in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
