grapestompers.com Builds New Warehouse and Shipping Facility

grapestompers.com has recently constructed a new building at the Thistle Meadow Winery in Laurel Springs, NC that will serve as a warehouse and packing/shipping facility.

The new building, built by Don Brown, was designed to make stocking, fulfilling, and packing orders a more efficient process. It boasts a truck loading dock, as well as a dry garage for loading customers' vehicles during inclement weather.

You can scroll down the page to see all the pictures in chronological order, or simply make your pick from the list below:

We used natural and recycled building materials wherever possible during construction.

This photo shows the siding, which came from a huge white pine tree that once stood on the site of the warehouse.

Tom was eager to move the stock from the bodega (where things were REALLY crowded) to the new warehouse in time for our annual wine tasting celebration.

Tom, his son John, and Bonnie worked hard to move the heavy supplies from one building to the other. Afterwards, they had an Advil and wine party!

This photo shows some of the shelving built specifically to support the size and weight of the winemaking kits we stock.
